The Patriot Guard Riders Mission Statement

Mission Statement:

The Patriot Guard Riders is a 100% volunteer, federally registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization which ensures dignity and respect at memorial services honoring fallen military heroes, first responders, and honorably discharged veterans.

Vision Statement:

The Patriot Guard Riders is a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We have one thing in common besides motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for America’s freedom and security, including fallen military heroes, first responders, and honorably discharged veterans. If you share this respect, please join us.

We don’t care what you ride or if you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn’t matter where you’re from or what your income is; you don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.

Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives:

1. Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.

2. Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protester or group of protesters.

We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.

To those of you who are currently serving and fighting for the freedom of others, at home and abroad, please know that we are backing you. We honor and support you with every mission we carry out, and we are praying for a safe return home for all.

Wounded Warriors

Hi EveryOne,

I just received this info by phone per Mr. Eric Thomas, Lead Ride Capt., South Texas PGR. He will inform us of any changes by 5/16.

As it stands now, Mr. Eric will be leading us on this run from Portland to El Campo for our Wounded Warriors. Staging is set for Wal-Mart in Portland on 5/20, KSU @ 07:00! We will be picking up another PGR group in Victoria @ 09:00 and on to El Campo by the designated time of about 11:30.

Mr. John H. will be going to Corpus Christi on Thurs 5/19 during the day, let him know if you are riding w/ him.

I will be leading a group up to Portland on Thurs 5/19 as well. Staging in Harlingen at Stripes by Expwy 77 / 83 between Harrison St. and Tyler St. (Across from Texas Tourist Bureau) NLT 2:45 pm, KSU 3:00. Any trouble getting there, call me. We will spend the night in Portland and will be at the Rally Point on Fri 5/20 with Mr. Eric by the designated time. If you are riding with me, please let me know for a "head-count".

Please make your own motel reservations.
AAA shows these motels in Portland:
Days Inn, (361) 643-2222;
Hampton Inn, (361) 777-1500;
Best Western Plus Northshore Inn, (361) 777-3100
Per Mr. John H., Motels are "pricey" in Port O'Connor, if spending the night on Fri, consider staying in one of the nearby towns. Lorie and I will probably stay for Sat. Location to be determined.

On Sat., if allowed, we will assist / spend time with our Wounded Warriors before they go on their fishing trip!
