The Patriot Guard Riders Mission Statement

Mission Statement:

The Patriot Guard Riders is a 100% volunteer, federally registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization which ensures dignity and respect at memorial services honoring fallen military heroes, first responders, and honorably discharged veterans.

Vision Statement:

The Patriot Guard Riders is a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We have one thing in common besides motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for America’s freedom and security, including fallen military heroes, first responders, and honorably discharged veterans. If you share this respect, please join us.

We don’t care what you ride or if you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn’t matter where you’re from or what your income is; you don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.

Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives:

1. Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.

2. Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protester or group of protesters.

We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.

To those of you who are currently serving and fighting for the freedom of others, at home and abroad, please know that we are backing you. We honor and support you with every mission we carry out, and we are praying for a safe return home for all.

Memorial Day Events Update

GREETINGS FELLOW PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS:

Below is the recent update with dates, location and times to attend the upcoming Memorial Day events.

The PGR's presence and attendance is requested to Honor Our Fallen Veterans during the Memorial Day Holiday. So far I have the following requests by date order:

Sunday May 27th. 2012

Mr. Mario Moreno, Marine Viet Nam Veteran and volunteer "PGR photographer" has requested the PGR to participate on Sunday May 27th., for a Church Service Memorial at 10:30 A.M. Honoring Our Fallen Veterans. Plan to arrive NLT 10:00 A.M.

Church is Iglesia Bautista Betania, located on Bus. 83 & Expwy. 83 On Inspiration Road Exit, Turn West and on Breyfogle Road, Turn Right and about one block and a half, church is located. Church address is
408 E. 6th. Mission, Tx. Ph. 956-585-5711 or contact Mr. Moreno via cell at 956-776-3011 for directions.

Monday May 28th. 2012

The Mercedes Memorial Committee has requested us to participate in their annual Memorial Day, Honoring Our Fallen Veterans on Monday May 28th. We are to arrive NLT 6:30 P.M. as the event will begin at 7:00 P.M. to avoid the heat. We are to park behind the Mercedes Pizza Hut parking lot. KSU is at approx. 6:45 P.M. and ride to Memorial site located on Texas and Bus. Hwy. 83 We will stage bikes on Texas Street as it will be blocked off for us. We will then form Flag line.

Monday May 28th. 2012

Mr. Ruben Cantu, from the Harlingen Veterans Post has also requested our presence for Monday May 28th.(Memorial Day) at Pendleton Park located at 1427 Morgan Blvd., in Harlingen, Texas. Plan to arrive NLT 5:30 P.M. as ceremony will begin at 6:00 P.M. Come prepared to withstand the heat temperatures.

I understand it is a Holiday weekend and some of you will be unable to attend as you will be with your families. For those of you that can participate, I thank you in advance. More riders have always shown their presence, which makes it more meaningful overall to the families. Mark the dates on your calendar and bring your flags on bikes.
