The Patriot Guard Riders Mission Statement

Mission Statement:

The Patriot Guard Riders is a 100% volunteer, federally registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization which ensures dignity and respect at memorial services honoring fallen military heroes, first responders, and honorably discharged veterans.

Vision Statement:

The Patriot Guard Riders is a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We have one thing in common besides motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for America’s freedom and security, including fallen military heroes, first responders, and honorably discharged veterans. If you share this respect, please join us.

We don’t care what you ride or if you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn’t matter where you’re from or what your income is; you don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.

Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives:

1. Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.

2. Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protester or group of protesters.

We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.

To those of you who are currently serving and fighting for the freedom of others, at home and abroad, please know that we are backing you. We honor and support you with every mission we carry out, and we are praying for a safe return home for all.

Memorial Day Requests

GREETINGS FELLOW PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS:

As discussed during our Meet N Greet Meeting, I have received phone calls requesting PGR's attendance to honor our fallen veterans during the Memorial Day holiday. So far I have the following requests:

(1st. Request) The Mercedes Memorial Committee has requested us to participate in their annual Memorial Day, honoring our fallen veterans on Monday May 28th.  We are to arrive NLT 6:30 P.M. as the event will begin at 7:00 P.M. We are to park behind the Mercedes Pizza Hut parking lot.

(2nd. Request) Mr. Mario Moreno, Marine Viet Nam Veteran and volunteer "PGR photographer" has requested the PGR to participate on Sunday May 27th during a church service memorial honoring our fallen veterans. (More information will be provided as it becomes available).

(3rd. Request) Mr. Ruben Cantu, from the Harlingen Veterans Post is also requesting our presence for Monday May 28th. (Memorial Day) at the Pendleton Park in Harlingen Texas. We might have to split bikers since the time frame is identical with the Mercedes program.  (More information will be provided as it becomes available).

I understand it is a Holiday weekend and some of you will be unable to attend as you will be with your families, but for those of you that can participate, I thank you in advance. More riders have always shown their presence, which makes it more meaningful overall to the families.  Mark the dates on your calendar and bring your flags on bikes.

IT IS NOT ABOUT US.  IT IS ALL ABOUT OUR FALLEN WARRIORS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

Ride Safe and Be Safe!

All biker organizations are welcomed to participate and begin spreading the word.

Regards,

Mr. T
